Cape Fear Community College is breaking ground on a new campus located in Surf City. The Alston W. Burke campus just had a brick laying ceremony to celebrate. Located in Surf City off of Highway 17, CFCC will have 6 classrooms, a lab, media center and offices located on this campus. There’s plenty of room for the campus to grow in the future as well. With the hopes of opening to students for the Spring 2015 semester, CFCC will begin to offer continuing education courses, basic college math, English, history and science classes. This class schedule is designed to easily transfer into a four year university, like the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, for students looking to continue their education.
